Back in 1991, Lee Rubin conducted his last meaningless client meeting and quit his job at a major New York advertising agency to open a retail gift business. With the loving support of his new wife Wendy, Lee sold his house, said goodbye to the nanny, and joined the working poor as the owner of a small shop in his hometown of Larchmont, NY.

Thus, Wendy Gee! was born. And like all of us, it has gone through many phases over the years – the toddler years, when gift items were the singular focus; gangly adolescence, with the introduction of extraneous furniture pieces; and finally, adulthood, where it all came together. Today, Wendy Gee! is the happy combination of several quality furniture lines, select home and personal accessories, and, of course, gifts for every occasion.

For Lee and his talented associates, it's as much fun as the day the store opened. Each afternoon new merchandise arrives and new vignettes are created. The store is constantly changing, but consistently maintains its original personality which has welcomed customers for decades (wow, has it really been that long?).
